Humboldt County
Organic, Craft Cannabis from Our Farm to You
Cannabis grown in native soil, using regenerative practices, under the light of sun and moon, by legacy farmers.
Grown in Harmony with Nature
Whitethorn Valley Farm is an award winning, family-owned and operated, regenerative-organic cannabis farmstead located in the Lost Coast region of southern Humboldt County. Our mission is to share our ‘back-to-the-land’ history, passion for craft cannabis, and dedication to holistic land stewardship with the world. We seek to obtain the fullest expression of the plant, and instill in it, the taste of this place; the Lost Coast terroir; the climate, culture, and community that is our heritage.
Regenerative Cannabis
We take our commitment to the earth seriously and are OCAL Certified comparable to USDA Organic, as well as Sun and Earth Certified, which means that in addition to caring for the plant and the ecosystem, we treat our workers like family (but with a living wage), and give back to our community. Using mindful practices provides us with the highest quality product but also creates a better ecosystem for the plants and animals in our backyard and beyond.
AAA Quality
Terpenes and Trichomes are what it is all about. From Seed to sale we ensure clean testing cannabis of the highest quality. We breed, select, and grow cultivars that thrive in our microclimate with minimal intervention. By harvesting the plant at peak ripeness in the early morning hours of the day, and slowly drying it in a climate controlled space, we preserve the cannabinoids and terpenes and ensure an excellent product for the end user.
Family Farmstead
Not only is WVF family owned and operated, we live on our farm and raise our kids here in connection with the land. Our family is 5th generation residents of the Whitethorn Valley, learn more about the man who made it all possible, Bob McKee below. We grow all of our own fruits and veggies, raise chickens for meat and eggs, and cultivate a lush and biodiverse farmscape rich in lizards, frogs, snakes, birds of all kinds, and so much more!
The Man Who Made it All Possible
Our homestead like other “Back to the Lander” establishments were created in Humboldt County by people looking for something… different. The man who facilitated so many radical people moving back to a simpler way of life was our Grandfather, Bob McKee. Read Our Story.
